M is for Monday, that’s good enough for me.

This morning, scrolling for some music to set the pace of the day, I decided I wanted to listen to Mad World from Donnie Darko. It’s the first M song on my iPod, and I decided to let it ride, thinking, M, Monday, it works. Logged into Facebook and posted this status:

What a difference music makes on Mondays…Current song: Maggie May

To which someone immediately replied with a request for a playlist. Trouble is, it wasn’t a playlist, just the M songs that I wanted to hear, while skipping over ones I wasn’t in the mood for. She sent me her email addy so I took a look at the M songs and picked out the ones I had and planned to listen to. There were ten, and here they are:

1. Mad World, Gary Jules
2. Maggie May, Rod Stewart
3. Make You Feel My Love, Adele
4. Man on the Moon, REM
5. Mary Jane’s Last Dance, Tom Petty
6. Message in a Bottle, Police
7. Mexico, James Taylor
8. Money, Pink Floyd
9. Moon River, Andy Williams
10. My Life, Billy Joel

So I sent her the list, and she thanked me and then wrote this:

Can u send Tuesdays? I’ve loaded Mondays. Thanks.

I guess I’ll be adding “Internet deejay” to my job description :P . Haven’t made the Tuesday list yet but if it doesn’t end it with “Tuesday’s Gone” I don’t even know who I am anymore.

Until then, internet friends.
