As gorgeous and happy-making as summer on the Connecticut shoreline is, it’s gotten a little extreme with the heat and humidity the last few weeks. Thankfully there are tons of summer movies to enjoy in cool, dark theatres.
A review from Popmatters.com says Winnie the Pooh is “a kids’ movie that isn’t embarrassing, cluttered with fart jokes or appealing to parents and children on different levels. Winnie the Pooh is, instead, a kids’ movie that invites adults to remember what it’s like to be kids.”
A movie provides the perfect beach day interlude, and, at 69 minutes, it’s short enough that I may even invite the kids next door along.
